        MTS product development engineer
        Dear Sir or Madam:

I am interested in engineering position in Silicon semiconductor.

Most recently I worked as MTS Product Development Engineer at AMD. My main responsibilities include yield ramp-up for new products and continuous yield enhancement for mature products, define and finalize production screening and guard-band specifications based upon design intent and characterization, perform data analysis/characterization, failure analysis and scan diagnostics to determine the root cause of the problem, work with design, process, or test engineers to identify and implement corrective actions . I have strong communication skills to work with internal team members and external suppliers. Actually I was main contact to wafer foundries for yield issues and product tapeout. I have vast experience in handling complicated issues caused by wafer process, design, testing or combination of all mentioned above.

Before joining AMD in 2001 (former ATI technologies and acquired by AMD in 2006), I was a fab process engineer in Hewlett-Packard (Singapore), taking care of CVD and etching module. The work at HP provides me solid foundation for semiconductor process knowledge. On top of my industry experiences, I had worked in R & D environment for many years. Through my research works, I had acquired excellent knowledge as well as practical hands-on experience on thin film deposition process /system and thin film characterization/analysis techniques (refer to my resume for details). As such, I am confident of my ability to handle the job requirements of an engineer well.

I am looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

        Sincerely yours,
        Xiaoning Liao
